Bulldog Update 6/9/2020

Hello Bulldog Parents and Bulldogs:

To our Bulldog families; your patience and flexibility during this closure has been tremendous. It is hard to imagine another community that is as dedicated to the success of all of our students than Montesano. I am honored to serve as the principal for your students and would like to personally thank you during this closure.

As we move into the last two weeks of the 2019-2020 school year, we want to bring you up to speed on a few pieces of information:

  • Chromebooks: If you have chromebook checked out and would like to continue to use it during the summer, please do so and we will collect it in the fall. If you no longer need to use the chromebook, you can turn it into the school Monday-Friday 9:00-11:00am.

  • Grades for students will be posted on Friday, June 19th. All students who are taking classes for credit will receive a grade of A-C or incomplete. Students who receive an incomplete will have an opportunity to fix the incomplete during the 2020-21 school year.

  • All 7th and 8th grade students will receive A-C or pass. The only exception to this will be those 8th grade students who are taking a class that could count for high school credit.

  • We still have a number of students who have not collected materials from their lockers or turned in school materials. Please contact the school to make arrangements to pick up those materials.

  • Graduation:  Saturday, July 11th at 1:00PM. The event is for graduates and a very limited number of family members.  Due to restrictions under the Governor’s guidelines, graduation will not be open to the public. We are planning to broadcast the event. Parents stay tuned; we are working on the details and will share them with you soon.

As for the future, we are waiting for guidance for school districts from OSPI.  Once we receive this direction, we will begin the planning process for fall of 2020-21. We know many families are anxious about all the unknowns that surround the starting of school.  Stay tuned! We will share information as soon as we can.

Thank you for your continued support,

Alec & Anne
