The HS Spring Fling Tolo Dance will be Saturday, March 1 from 8:00-10:00PM. This dance is for high school students only.
To bring a guest from another school, the MHS student and their date must complete a Dance Guest form. All guests must be interviewed by an administrator. If your guest previously attended a dance here at MHS, their interview may be waived, however the dance form, signed off by their school’s administration, must still be turned in for approval. Dance guest forms are now available in the HS Office and all guest forms must be approved no later than Friday, February 21. You will not be allowed to buy your dance ticket for the outside guest until you have completed this process.
Tickets for the Spring Fling will be sold for $10 in the Bookkeeping Office and will be sold until Friday, February 28 at 1:00PM. Tickets are also available online (service fees apply).
Reminder: Montesano School District uses Flash Alert as a means of communicating to the public in the event of school schedule changes/closures due to inclement weather or an emergency. You will need to register with Flash Alert to get their rapid notifications. In addition, the primary phone number listed on your student’s Skyward account will receive an automated message announcing any school schedule changes or emergency closures.

UPDATE: The Junior Parents’ Meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, February 24 at 6:00PM in the HS Library.
This meeting will provide information to help you and your student prepare for next year including graduation requirements, financial aid, scholarships, transcripts, college and other post-graduation application processes and more. Your student does not have to be college-bound to attend this meeting as it also applies to trades, apprenticeships, and other post-grad plans students may be considering. You student is welcome to attend with you.
For additional information, please contact the Counseling Center.
Washington Business Week will be held from February 24 - February 28 for all junior students (including Running Start Students). For one full and exciting week, students and some faculty members will be engaged in a non-traditional discovery learning experience called Washington Business Week. Running Start students who have questions about their involvement should contact either Ms. Greene or Ms. Ranger at Montesano High School.
Small “companies” of students will operate their own business for eight virtual quarters, solving the problems small businesses encounter with growth, production, and demand. Through our hands-on approach, students will gain a vision of how math, science, English, technology, history, art and other curriculum will apply to their life after high school. In turn, they may be more inclined to excel in these subjects once they have actually applied them to these “real life” situations.
Yearbook Purchases:
Our final Yearbook sales period for this school year is now open through February 3, 2025! Yearbooks are $75 and you can make your purchase online at the Bulldog Online Store or by paying cash/check at the MHS Bookkeeping Office. Typically, we get a few over-run books from the publisher to cover for damaged books and we try to sell them if they are available but there is no guarantee that we will have any extra copies at the end of the year when books are distributed. Please make sure to buy your Yearbook now to ensure your student gets their copy in June.
Senior Celebration and Business Ads:
The final date for ad purchases will also be February 3, 2025. You must have the photos and artwork for your ad submitted by this date.
If you have any questions, please contact Yearbook advisor, Shawn Donnelly at sdonnelly@monteschools.org.
