Results of Informational Armed Security Guard Survey
Last spring we sent out an information gathering survey to assess the pulse of our community with regard to an armed security guard in our buildings. We received 590 responses with some very thoughtful comments.

New Bike Program for Montesano Students
Montesano PE teacher, Doug Galloway, has been busy this summer planning a new bicycle unit for students in grades 6th-8th thanks to the Safe Routes to School Grant.

Last night, Police informed us that there was an attempted abduction of a 21 year old woman around 8:15 pm at the corner of Church st. and McBride by a dark skinned male in a Blue Chevy Avalance. Police are patrolling the area and are working with other law enforcement agencies to try and locate the suspect. Because we have students walking to and from school, I wanted to make sure parents were aware of this incident. If you or your child see anything suspicious in the area please contact the Montesano Police Department.
