Special Education
About
The Montesano School District Special Education Program serves approximately 200 students ranging from birth to twenty-one years. These services are provided by special education teachers, including a birth to three teacher, paraeducators, counselors, a school psychologist, a speech-language pathologist, an occupational therapist, and a physical therapist. Students with disabilities are served in the least restrictive environment possible as specified in federal and state laws. As a result, special needs students participate in the general education classroom with the general education curriculum, as much as possible.
