Response to Intervention (RTI)
Response to Intervention (RTI) is a multi-tier approach to the early identification and support of students with learning and behavior needs. The RTI process begins with high-quality instruction and universal screening of all children in the general education classroom.
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
Simpson uses a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) model. PBIS was established to address the behavioral and discipline systems needed for successful learning and social development of students. Our school-wide system includes proactive strategies for defining, teaching and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create positive school environments. An important piece to PBIS is to create common school-wide expectations. Our three expectations, The Bulldog Be's, for everyone at Simpson School are:
- be safe
- be respectful
- be responsible
Please take this opportunity to talk with your student about the expectations at school and the importance of continuing to demonstrate The Bulldog Be’s. With your continued support and involvement, Simpson will remain a school where students can reach their full potential.
