Volunteer Opportunities
The Simpson After School Program (SASP) is always looking for volunteers. Interested in tutoring, mentoring, or leading a life skill? Whether you can help on a daily basis, weekly basis, or just one day – we’d love to have you on our team. Join the Simpson After School Program and make a difference!
Volunteers are needed every day of the program which runs Monday-Thursday of each week. (Refer to the calendar for specific dates of program)
Snack Volunteer. 1:45 pm - 3:15 pm.
Prepare and serve snacks to students involved in the SASP.
Office Volunteer. 2:15 pm – 3:45 pm.
Help with attendance and call parents of absent students.
Tutoring Volunteer. 2:50 pm – 4:00 pm.
Help students with homework and other academics.
Life Skills Volunteer. 3:45 pm – 5:00 pm.
Lead or assist with specific activities such as basketball, arts and crafts, or computers.
*There is also the opportunity for High School, JR High and even 6th graders to get Community Service Credit through tutoring from 2:50-4:00. Please go to the School office (HS, JH or Simpson) and ask for a volunteer disclosure form.
By joining the Simpson After School Program you, as a mentor, can act as positive role model for the children in our community and help with academic, social, and emotional growth.
