The referral window for the 2021-22 school year is open from Monday, November 1 through Friday, November 12. Referral forms are available in the HS Offices, or online using the link provided below.

We have a completely open referral process for our program. Anyone- staff, family, students, or community members - can refer any student for evaluation.

Josten's Graduation Supplies

Attention Seniors and Senior Families:

Graduation ordering packets are now available in the HS Office. All caps and gowns must be ordered through Jostens, Inc. Any previous graduation caps and gowns will not be allowed as this year’s dye lot (maroon color) will not match previous years.

Seniors will have a chance to meet with the Jostens rep this Friday at 9:35AM in the Commons. All graduation orders should be placed between November 1-November 5 to ensure best pricing options.

FAFSA Senior Parent Financial Aid Night

FAFSA Senior Parent Financial Aid Night will be Tuesday, November 2 at 6:00PM in the MHS library. A Grays Harbor Financial Aid specialist will be here to answer questions about the FAFSA and then help parents/guardians complete the FAFSA online. To help with the process your parents/guardians should bring their 2020 tax returns, social security numbers for themselves and their student, and a laptop if possible. We will have a few Chromebooks available on site as well. To save time that evening, it is highly recommended that a FSA ID is created before you come. State Assessments/Testing - October 12-14

Next week, students in grades 7,8,9,11 and 12 will take the state assessments from the 2020-21 school year. 12th and 11th grade students will take the 10th grade Smarter Balanced or Washington Access to Instruction and Measurement (WA-AIM) tests in math and/or English language arts. Students in 12th grade will take the 11th grade Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) or the WA-AIM science test. Ninth grade students will take the 8th grade Smarter Balanced or WA-AIM tests in math and English language arts and the 8th grade WCAS or WA-AIM science test. Students in the 7th grade will take the Smarter Balanced Assessments in ELA/Math from the 6th grade. These tests are a brief check-in on student learning from school year 2020-21.

 MHS Fall Conferences - October 6

MHS Fall Conferences will take place on Wednesday, October 6. Conferences will be from 2:00-5:00PM, and 6:00-8:00PM and will be held via Zoom. We will again be using Skyward Family Access to schedule all conferences. The scheduling window is Monday, September 27 through Friday, October 1. All conferences must be scheduled during this window.

Healthy Youth Survey 2021

Our school is participating in the Washington State 2021 Healthy Youth Survey on October 11, 2021. Grades 7-12 will complete this survey in their first period classes.


The Healthy Youth Survey ask questions about risks for injury, health outcomes, and alcohol and drug use. Schools, and state and local agencies use survey results to support our youth and reduce their risks. The Healthy Youth Survey is voluntary and anonymous and provides important information to guide policy and programs that serve our youth.

Spectator Information - Varsity Home Football Games

This Friday, the Bulldogs take on Cascade Christian at 7:00PM at Rottle Field.

Gates will be locked until 5:00PM on game day. Any blankets placed in the grandstands before this time will be removed. Seats will be available on a first come-first served basis. Ticket booths will open at 5:00PM. As previously posted, face coverings will be required for unvaccinated spectators.

Yearbook Price Increases Friday!

Have you purchased your Yearbook yet? The current price of the yearbook is $55 through this Friday, September 10. After this date, we are required by state auditor regulations to close the purchasing window. We will re-open purchases from January 31-February 18, however at that time, the yearbook price will increase to $65.

MHS Picture Day is Thursday!

MHS Picture Day is Thursday, September 9!

We are excited to announce we are using a new photography company, Solis Images. All students will have their pictures taken for school records. Students will bring home a QR code/order number so families can preview the pictures online* prior to ordering. See the attached flyer for more information. Portraits will be shipped directly to home, not to the school.

*If you need to order with cash or check, please contact the HS Office for an order form.

Tomorrow is the first day of school!

Here we go, Bulldogs!

The first day of school is Wednesday, September 1. School starts at 8:20AM. We’ve adjusted our arrival times so that all students are welcome to arrive anytime between 8:10-8:20AM. Students will enter through the front doors of the school (we won’t have separate entrances like last year).

We will be offering FREE breakfast & school lunches to ALL students. (A la carte lunch items must be purchased separately.) When students arrive at school, they will either go to the Commons for breakfast or straight to their 1st period class. Again, class begins at 8:20AM. Dismissal times are 1:45PM for high school students and 1:50PM for junior high students.

Vaccine Verification:

  • Recommended, but not required, for large outdoor and indoor events.

Physical distancing

  • No requirements


Facial Coverings

  • Fully vaccinated individuals are exempt from requirements to wear a face covering. Unvaccinated individuals must wear face coverings.


Indoor Venues

All individuals are required to continue to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status.
